ENGINEERS TEACHING ALGEBRA

ENGINEERS TEACHING ALGEBRAENGINEERS TEACHING ALGEBRAENGINEERS TEACHING ALGEBRA

Engineers Teaching Algebra brings an engineer into your classroom for a fun and engaging STEAM experience. Engineers Teaching Algebra is a 'field trip' in a traditional classroom setting-no devices, students with desk space, paper, and pencils with good erasers because engineers make mistakes! For students strong or struggling in math, ETA is conducted in the belief that a wrong answer is better than no answer, that problems are solved through trial and error, with patience and imagination. Socratic, engaging, hands-on, relevant and fun, an exciting school event since 1994, conducted in 5000 classrooms, 1800 schools, 38 states.

FAQ/Concern: Is this a one-shot deal?, one visit and done?

"After one day my kids show more interest in math and a deeper appreciation as to why it matters. That's why I do it every year. It has a multiplier effect in the way it supports me as a teacher, enriches the curriculum and inspires students to take it seriously. It's a valuable experience, well worth the time and money." Jennifer Voccola, Math Teacher, Central Middle School, Greenwich CT

"We've had ENGINEERS TEACHING ALGEBRA for 15 years, half of those years I was the teacher in the classrooms they visited. When I moved to the front office as Assistant Principal I felt so strongly about the program that I made it a priority that they continue to return annually." Anita Block, Assistant Principal, River Trails Middle School, Mt Prospect IL

"We've had Mark Love for 12 years, it has become the highlight of our school year!" Loretta Bastone, Math Teacher, HC Crittenden Middle School, Armonk NY
